Koh Phangan
Koh Phangan is an island in the Gulf of Thailand. It is located in the southwest of Thailand. in Surat Thani Province It is part of Koh Phangan District. Famous for the Full Moon Party held at Haad Rin and is a backpacker destination.

The island's name comes from the local word "Lang Ngan", referring to the sand dunes that emerge from the water at low tide. The original name of the island did not have a pool. but later added a pond to be Phangan

Place in the island
  • Haad Yao is located on the western side of the island and is 1 kilometer long.
  • Mae Haad Beach is on the northwest side of the island. At low tide, there will be a sandbar to walk across to Koh Ma.
  • Ao Nai Wok is located in the west of the island. Close to Thong Sala Pier
  • Haad Rin is on the western side of the island. There is a beach about 1,000 meters long. It looks like a flat area connecting 2 rock hills that extend to Laem Rin. Thus, the area is divided into Haad Rin Nok and Haad Rin Nai, with an area in the middle of a swamp called peat, or Haad Rin peat.
  • Haad Salad was originally a pirate hideout.
  • Ao Thong Nai Pan Yai It is the most popular beach in the east. And there is a small village surrounded by coconut groves. There are resorts, bars and restaurants.
  • Ao Wok Tum is in the west of Koh Phangan, named after Wok Tum Village.
  • Chaloklum Beach is on the north side of the island. The beach is curved in a semicircular shape. The length is about 1 kilometer, is the address of the coastal fishing community.
